Morgan contacted me in March about booking a maternity session and 90 seconds into chatting with her it was like chatting with an old friend I hadn’t spoken to in awhile. We chatted about the nursery theme her and her husband Ryan chose (which I am SO EXCITED to share when baby K is here), baby names, delivering during a pandemic, and even jumping ahead to cake smash themes!
Morgan and Ryan’s journey to parenthood has been a long and hard one. For four years they have struggled with infertility and it was only after IVF did they learn they were finally pregnant. Morgan and Ryan are both an only child and this is the first grand baby born into both sides of the family. To say this sweet girl is already so loved is an understatement. Morgan and I joked that the grandparents would be fighting over who gets to hold baby K more!
Morgan fell in love with a maternity session I did at Washington Oaks Park – beach side and that was immediately the chosen location for her own maternity session. COVID-19 had other plans. After a lot of discussion we decided on Sweetwater Wetlands Park. If you have not visited I would highly recommend it. It is a beautiful location where you can walk the trails (many shaded by these beautiful canopy trees), breath in the fresh air, and even see some wild horses, alligators, turtles, and birds of all kinds.
Morgan was absolutely beautiful during her session and rocked all 5 maternity gowns! Her husband Ryan just kept saying “my beautiful wife” and he was the best dress fluffer, hair fixer, and cheerleader husband ever! I am truly honored to be able to capture this small piece of Morgan’s journey to motherhood and can not wait to meet baby K in just a few short weeks.
Also, a HUGE shout out to the ever talented Allie Williams of Make Me up by Allie. She always takes such incredible care of NRP clients for hair and make-up!
