When Jessica called me about Rachel & Ole we chatted on the phone for about 30 minutes. She was in a panic because she went from being their photographer to being an important part of the bridal party.
I’m not going to lie. I’m SO HAPPY she was a bridesmaid because it allowed her to share in the celebration and love of two people very dear to her heart. Oh, and it also meant I got to jump into the role as the chunky but funky bff behind the camera.
Rachel and I spent over an hour on the phone when we initially spoke talking all things online RN classes, wedding, future plans, families, a frustrating pandemic, and everything in between. We immediately clicked and I knew I was in the role I was meant to be. Over the next few weeks leading up to the wedding, Rachel and I would text back and forth about wedding, her asking questions, me answering, her panicking and me reminding her to breath.
Wedding day came and from the very beginning I was surrounded by new and familiar faces (hey Jordan & Kelly) and it felt like I was home. I was welcomed into their circle and I laughed right beside them and cried the minute Ole saw Rachel walking down the aisle.
The vows were perfect. The guests were perfect. The dancing was perfect. Everything was perfect. This was a day I will never forget and I am so honored to have been a small part of it.
Rachel & Ole I wish you the very happiest of congratulations and can not wait to watch you both blossom as husband and wife and embark on the next chapter together. You two were truly made for each other and I love you both!!
Oh, now about that surprise… Well, are you ready!?
